PRODUCT PURCHASING - PRODUCT PROCUREMENT SERVICE
ACT Research offers a Product Procurement Service without limitations. We are experienced in retrieving shelf stable, refrigerated, and frozen products. These purchases are conducted at retail, warehouse club, wholesale levels and online. Our experienced shoppers will not only purchase your samples according to spec (i.e. age, date code, label claims, etc.), they will package and ship the products to ensure that they arrive at your facility in on-shelf condition. Insulated shippers, blue ice, dry ice, bubble wrap, packaging peanuts, and labels are all used to ensure that products are received in proper condition.
While ACT Research is located in the New York Metropolitan area, our purchasing coverage is nationwide and our extensive field force ensures that we will be able to cover any store whether it is in a large city or a remote suburb. We also have coverage in test markets, which enables us to provide you with competitive product samples before they are in national distribution.
One unit or one million, we are experienced in all quantities of procurement. Whether you want to look at a single new beverage or obtain hundreds of cases for a Claims Test or HUT, ACT Research will execute the purchase according to spec and in a timely fashion.
Product Procurement rates are typically based on time and mileage. Fortunately, our extensive coverage enables us to send a field representative from within a reasonable distance to complete the pick-up. Additionally, the client is charged for any direct expenses/purchases associated with procurement (i.e. product, packaging materials, shipping charges, etc.).
PRODUCT RECALL SERVICES
ACT Research field reps are experienced in handling Product Recalls at both the Consumer and Store levels.
CONSUMER PRODUCT RECALLS
If there is a consumer complaint about a manufacturer's product, ACT Research will have an experienced and professional field representative retrieve the product from the consumer - usually within 24 hours of the complaint. This quick action enables the manufacturer to get the product and evaluate the complaint before there is a potential legal or media issue. Again, samples are packaged to the client's specification so that they are received in the exact condition that they were retrieved. Additionally, any and all necessary paperwork will be completed to document such a sensitive retrieval.
STORE PRODUCT RECALLS - WITHDRAWALS
If there is a wider-spread problem and a retail level and PRODUCT RECALL is required, ACT Research can help. We are able to cover thousands of stores nationwide. Depending on the scope, ACT Research will normally be able to field the recall within 24 to 48 hours and complete the recall within 1 to 5 days. We will send experienced and professional representatives into stores with the appropriate documentation from the manufacturer, enabling them to purchase all affected products. (If necessary, appointments will be made with management prior to visit.) All affected products will be purchased and documented with corresponding receipts. Product will then be either shipped to the manufacturer or destroyed. All destruction will be described and documented and that documentation will be supplied to the client.
RETAIL AUDITS
Retail Audits are an excellent tool for gathering data on your products and brands, as well as your competitors. At ACT Research, we have a nationwide field force of auditors that cover all classes of trade: Chain supermarket, independent grocery, mass merchandiser, drug, convenience, wholesale club, as well as specialty stores.
We pride ourselves in customizing each and every audit. Unlike the marketing research giants, we obtain the specific data that you require whether it is availability, price, age, defects/damages, facings, shelf tags, promotions, displays, stock rotation, etc.
At ACT Research, we go the extra distance. If an auditor locates a sample that is potentially damaging to our client's brand (expired, damaged/leaked, opened, etc.), the representative will purchase that sample to remove it from distribution. This sample is then destroyed or sent into the manufacturer for evaluation.
We collect, review, analyze, and compile all audit forms at ACT Research. We will tabulate data and present results in topline format or comprehensive reports including graphics.
